A high-level meeting between the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri Suvendu Adhikari, and the National Chairman of the Judicial Council, Shri Tirthankar Mukherjee, marks a critical juncture for the state’s administrative and legal framework. Following the recent change in governance, the administration is prioritizing systemic institutional overhauls, immediate containment of law-and-order friction points, and an accelerated alignment with India’s overhauled criminal jurisprudence.

​The deliberation centers systematically on two interconnected pillars: stabilizing the state's internal security and establishing an elite infrastructural roadmap for the newly implemented criminal codes.
